On Ukraine’s Independence Day, locals living in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv have been sharing their thoughts on the war after six months of conflict with Russia.

Normally, a massive military parade marches to the city’s centre, but public events in the capital have been banned because of concerns they could become a target.
